More baby makes!

I made this handy wall hanger to put nappies, wipes and other useful baby toiletries in. The doll motif is from a pattern in my 1970s "St Michael Book of Handicrafts". I love vintage home craft books as they have loads of ideas and inspiration. The fabric I used is a mixture from "by Graziela" and some of my own.



I crocheted this Miffy doll after I found a free pattern on the internet. I also found loads of other free patterns for baby stuff including hats, shoes, dresses etc just by searching the web...very useful when I'm expecting twins! I've included pics of everything I've made so far below.





I sewed these tiny new born size dresses from my own fabric, which is available from my Spoonflower shop.





I made these slippers from pieces of leather I bought from a local shop which sells beautiful handmade shoes. These were also from free patterns on the internet, the larger blue ones I made for my 4 year old son and they are lined with really soft sheep fleece at the bottom (also used to line the pink crocheted mary jane slippers above).

Last of all some cosy hats for the winter!

Cushion Covers

I finally found time to make up the cushion covers with my new fabrics. They are now available to purchase here in my Etsy Shop.


I also made one of my large Dachshunds with the yellow "1950s style" fabric available here.

New Fabrics!

My fabrics from Spoonflower have finally arrived. I will be making them into cushion covers which will be available from my Etsy shop as soon as I get round to it. Both the "Houses", "Cups" and "50s Yellow Leaf" fabrics are also available to buy now from my Spoonflower shop*. (Unfortunately I have a little tweaking to do on the "Apple and Flower" print as the quality isn't perfect)

*Please note the scale of the motifs are smaller on the fabrics from my shop than the ones I have ordered for my cushion covers allowing them to be more practical for other craft projects.

Handmade for babies

I am currently pregnant with twin girls, so I am taking the opportunity to make as many things for them as possible while I have the chance! I crocheted the duckling from a great pattern book called "Amigurumi World - Seriously Cute Crochet" by Ana Paula Rimoli. The same book can be found here on Amazon and her products and patterns are also available from her lovely Etsy shop here. The bunny pattern is also from her book, however I changed the ears and face to make it more "Miffy" like.

I made the pram blankets with some vintage fabric from Germany and some micro polka dot green fabric at the top to lengthen them.
