peggy dolls - now available on etsy!
I have just added 6 "Peggy" dolls to my Etsy Shop. She is 28cm tall and each one is unique with her own dress, apron, quilted blanket, pillow and tote bag.
Also I'd like to thank everyone for your comments and queries about Peggy. Although time consuming, she was very enjoyable to create!

new shop in Totnes
A great new shop called "Social Fabric" has opened in my local town of Totnes. As well as the shop, its running creative workshops for a range of fabric/yarn related crafts. I designed these "Totnes Townscapes" which will be available on tea towels and totes soon.
Totnes is one of the oldest towns in the country and I was asked to include its historical buildings, the castle dates back to 907 AD!

meet peggy...
Hello...
my name is Peggy.
This is me at home...
this is me going to the shops...
this is me tucked up in bed...
and I come with all these accessories!
I'm your little retro friend
Designing and making this doll was so enjoyable for me. I could have gone on forever thinking up little accessories using my vintage fabrics!
Everything pictured above comes with the doll (including the 70s style packaging label I designed!) and I'll be making a few more for my Etsy shop soon.

pin cushions
These pin cushions developed whilst experimenting with traditional hand appliqué techniques (no bondaweb or sewing machine in sight!). I then made the decision to add some freehand embroidery using various stitches. Its a welcome break from the machine and given me lots of ideas for future products!

vintage stamp collection
I don't see myself as a stamp collector, however, these particular examples are some of my most favourite items I own. They're far too beautifully illustrated to hide away in a stamp album, so I think they sit perfectly in their little frames for all to see!
